M.Phil in Social Work

The Department offers Full-Time M.Phil programme in Social Work. For admission to the programme, candidates should have passed two year PG Degree course (with 55 % marks after 1991 and 50 % before 1991) after three year bachelor degree course and higher secondary of 12 years duration. Candidates who have passed PG degree examination with less than 17 years of course duration are not eligible for admission. The admission will be made on the basis of marks obtained by the candidates in the qualifying examination and marks scored in the entrance test.

The first semester involves course work. Second semester is dedicated towards writing a dissertation.

Total number of seats sanctioned for M.Phil. is 9. At present, 5 students are doing their M.Phil programme in Social Work.

Application form, including a copy of prospectus, for M.Phil programme can be obtained from the college website (www.shctpt.edu) and College office in the month of May. Last date for receipt of completed application forms will be given in the Application form.
